My interests led me to study Environmental Management at DIT 1983-86 followed by Art and Design at Dunlaoghaire Collage of Art and Design 1988-91. I specialized in Embroidery, making it part of my artistic expression. In 1995 I completed City and Guilds Creative Studies, Embroidery. In Summer 2000 I went to Prague to complete a Master class in Puppetry and attended NCAD Life Painting 2000-01.
I moved to a small farm in Wexford where I have my studio and sell work privately and exhibit in Group shows
Involvement with the Artist in Residence Scheme with a Dublin Primary School in 1997. This was a craft based project-making felt for a large Wall Hanging working with all classes –junior to 6th class.
From2004-08 I hosted the making of two Ross Tapestry panels in my home and assisted in teaching stitch, planning and monitoring the groups work. An adult project, all ladies (50-80years old)
As well as working with ECO, Dublin and a European Heritage Project-Schools Adopt a Monument, I have given workshops for children in arts and crafts and given talks to interest groups.
